After studying harmony and Jazz piano at CIM Paris, Tristan Lohner began his career with the Brevet des Métiers d’Arts vocational qualification in cabinet-making, under the tutelage of Bernard Daude, Cabinetmaker of Pierre Paulin for the Mobilier National (France’s National furniture depository).

Then, he attended the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, where he followed the classes of Jean-Marie Massaud in product design.

He then joined the RBC group and Franck Argentin, whose furniture showrooms are designed by Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio, Christophe Pillet, Piero Lissoni and Jean Marie Massaud. There he organised numerous global furnishing projects for the housing and high-end hotel industry.

Tristan Lohner is now the Deputy General Manager of the RBC group.
He is particularly responsible for the RBC Design Center, a 2,500m2 concept store entirely dedicated to design, designed by Jean Nouvel and pursued at the same time as his designer work.

He regularly collaborates with the FERMOB brand, notably with projects recognised by the Observeur du Design award and the Red Dot Design Award.
Attentive to the faithfulness and honesty of his creations, Tristan Lohner seeks consistency between the project, its market, its form and its longevity. A defender of popular design, his work, above all, is associated with the intimate and the sensitive relationship between the object and the one who uses it.
